Andrew Little

A member of our award-winning staff since 2019, Andrew Little grew up on a cattle farm in Hampton, Georgia where he was first exposed to welding. A graduate of Strong Rock Christian School, Mr. Little continued to pursue his interest in welding here at Georgia Trade School. A standout student at GTS, Andrew would go on to earn multiple certifications in Pipe and Structural welding.

These certifications lead to a position with the Cartersville Gas System working on natural gas lines before returning to our school to serve as a night instructor. Andrew’s responsibilities include teaching students a range of welding processes and assisting the afternoon class with cutting metal and shop repairs.

During his field experience, Mr. Little’s most memorable project was welding on a six-inch pressure gas line at Toyo Tires in Cartersville, Georgia. His advice to new students is to gain as much experience with each type of welding process and to be patient. Additionally, when you get obtain employment to be a sponge. Learn as much as you can from the older guys and do what your told. That will lead to more success in the welding industry.

Outside of welding, Andrew enjoys spending time with his family, including his recently born daughter and is an avid outdoorsman, both hunting and fishing.  Prior to his welding career, Andrew was a Field Representative for Sportsman’s Box, an outdoor apparel and equipment company. In this position he participated in and produced hunting and fishing videos.

A Hiram resident, Mr. Little enjoys visiting Blue Ridge and Hilton Head. His favorite genre of film and television are westerns and action. If he could sit at dinner with historical figures, he would choose Jesus, Ronald Reagan and the Wright Brothers. His favorite musician is Randy Travis and prefers country and classic rock forms.
