Will Kennemore

A Kennesaw native and Kennesaw Mountain alumnus, Will Kennemore attended Georgia Trade School a decade ago. One of our earliest graduates, Kennemore, would go on to work in fabrication, structural steel, manufacturing, education, and boilers.

At Steel LLC, Will worked on major economic development projects including the Hartsfield Jackson expansion and the Cannon Air Force Base. Later, Will entered the railcar industry, working for Trinity Industries in Cartersville where he built tanker cars. Will got his first taste of teaching at Fortis College in Smyrna where he served as lead welding instructor. Most recently Kennemore earned his CWI and CWE and worked for Clyde Industries making equipment for the boiler industry.

In addition to being a Certified Inspector, Will has credentials in FCAW 3G, SMAW 4G, GTAW G6 and ASNT VT Level II.

Never stop learning.

Favorite genre of music?
Rock and Country

 It is a beautiful day in Atlanta, what are you going to do?
Hanging out by the pool with my wife and kids or playing a round of golf.

Favorite thing to do in Acworth?
I love to eat at Henrys and then grab some ice cream at Scoops.

 Most Memorable Welding Project?
I was recently involved in a project building soot-blowers for the largest recovery boiler in the world.

 I am a new student what should I do to be successful at GTS?
GTS gives you everything to be successful except your attitude. If you come in every day with a solid attitude, ready to work hard and apply the instruction you’re given, you will be successful
